This inspiring childrens home and others have been established throughout the beautiful northern region of Chiang Mai in Thailand, to assist and care for hundreds of desperate and vulnerable children of this region.
Here they are provided with the opportunity for a normal childhood and a full and quality life. All children benefit from a secure and safe community, medical and emotional support, quality education and a loving family environment. As the children complete their schooling years they are encouraged to pursue their dreams and are given further opportunities via trainee programs, undertaking further studies or apprenticeships including possibilities with overseas and International studies. This is a truly grass roots project changing young lives in an incredible way. All are welcome to volunteer … you just need a willing heart and able body!
After your week volunteering, why not extend your stay in Thailand and experience some of the following … elephant rides, markets, waterfalls and magical caves. Perhaps explore further afield … take boatride through Laos, visit the islands of southern Thailand, or do a trek in one of the local provinces. Spend time with the friendly team at Rahab Ministries in the heart of Bangkok, who help to free women and girls from prostitution. Join the Rahab team one evening, visiting bars to let these precious women know that people from all over the world care about them.
Rahab Ministries also operates a beauty salon as a means of building relationships with the women who come in before starting work each night. Rahab’s internet cafe, English language programs and computer classes are other means of reaching out to these women. These opportunities enable the Rahab team to offer women an alternative to prostitution, providing them with hope for a brighter future.

This unique project is set in Chiang Mai province, Northern Thailand. This project is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center where you can volunteer and visit to help. We have been involved in dozens of rescues to create our thriving elephant herd. The park provides a natural environment for elephants and other animals under our care. Volunteers and visitors contribute to the healing while learning about their lives past and present.
Volunteer jobs are varied, from bathing elephants to basic health care. Traveling around the country in a variety of modes, from 4 wheel trucks to bamboo rafts, volunteers will experience local and tribal lifestyles, culture and hospitality.
In some cases volunteers may be required to look after our recent rescues and may be sent to different areas. All volunteers are required to help with household chores and cooking.
These activities are suitable for all age groups with a good standard of fitness and health.
No experience required, however vet students and vet professionals are also encouraged to apply.

This is a project created with the intention of allowing elephants owned by the Karen people in the north of Thailand to retire from trekking camps and return to living in the jungle and hills near their villages. It is intended that this project will enable these elephants to live a more natural life and help to restore the close connection that the Karen people traditionally had with their elephants.
