Battlefields Tours for School Groups

Imagine walking in the footsteps of the Anzacs, treading the ground where thousands of young Australians fought and died… Uplift has partnered with one of Australia’s leading battlefield tour companies, whose tours are all guided by some of the world’s leading battlefield authorities. No other tour company can match the quality of these tours or the knowledge of the guides.

Are you part of a school, cadet unit, club or other group that would like to tour the battlefields? We will design a custom-made tour to Gallipoli, the Western Front, Vietnam or any other battlefield tailored to your needs. A custom battlefield tour enables you to create a unique itinerary and only visit the sites that are important to your group.

We can accommodate group sizes from 30 passengers up to 500 or more, and can provide a range of accommodation options to suit any budget. Expert war historians and tour managers will accompany your tour. Your tour can depart at any time of the year (subject to availability) and can be as short or as long as you like. We will also take care of all related travel including airfares, additional sightseeing and insurance. Visit the key Australian battlefields in France and Belgium and pay your respects to the 48,000 Australians who were killed on the Western Front.

Start planning your group departure today! Please contact Uplift and our friendly consultants will provide you with a no-obligation quote.

Discover Vietnam

Welcome to a world where the colours are more vivid, where the landscapes are bolder, the coastline more dramatic, where the history is more compelling, where the tastes are more divine, where life is lived in the fast lane… vibrant Vietnam. Nature has blessed Vietnam with a bountiful harvest of soaring mountains, a breathtaking coastline and radiant rice fields.

Perhaps explore Hoi An … now a Unesco World Heritage site, Hoi An Old Town is governed by preservation laws that are well up to speed. Several buildings of historical and cultural significance are open for public viewing, a number of streets in the centre of town are off-limits to cars, and building alterations and height restrictions are well enforced.

Discover Europe

For one of Europe’s finest urban views, head straight to Brussels’ magnificent central square, Grand Place. It boasts the country’s best baroque guildhalls, the beautiful Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall), museums, pavement cafés, chocolate shops and intimate cellar restaurants – a combination that lures visitors in droves. Hidden at the very core of the old town, it’s revealed as you enter from one of six narrow side alleys (Rue des Harengs is the best) – a discreet positioning that adds charm.

Perhaps include romantic Paris, world capital of art and culture, a city home to some of the most famous museums and monuments in the world. Not to be missed: The Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay. Visit any of the many others according to your tastes and interests: the Musée Picasso, Musée Rodin, Musée Carnavalet, Musée Marmottan and the Arab Institute are just a few. Essential Paris monuments include the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe or the Grande Arche de la Défense.
